Job Description
Production Operatives required to work within a Metal Workshop environment (Paint, Welding and General Assembly), Hourly pay rate of £12.81 EARLY SHIFT and £13.73 LATE SHIFT. Full Time, temporary to permanent, based on the outskirts of Exeter. This will be working Monday to Friday 06:00 – 14:00 on the early shift and Monday to Thursday 14:00 – 22:30 and Friday 14:00 – 19:30 on the late shift.
Due to growth, Wise Employment are seeking an experienced Production Operatives within a Metal Workshop for one of our fast growing clients. This role will see you reporting directly to the area team leader and will involve the manufacture of components to drawing and within the tolerances stated within a metal workshop environment.

The Role:
In order to be successful in this role you must have previous experience in a metal workshop environment and be able to manufacture components to drawing and be within the tolerances stated. Working across a number of variants of sheet metal including Stainless Steel, Brass and Mild Steel ranging from 0.9mm to 3mm in thickness across a variety of processes including:

Punch

Press Brake

Welding

Power Press

Riveting and Assembly

Spot Welding

Chop Saw

Polishing/Grinding & Linishing

Painting and Degreasing (powder coating and wet spray)
Key Skills required:
Experience in fabrication of light sheet metal components in a production environment and a keen eye for detail to assist with sheet metal fabrication. You will need the ability to read technical drawings and work within the tolerances required. Ability to competently use measuring equipment. A fork lift licence (Counterbalance or Reach) is preferred but not essential. The lifting of heavy products will be required so you will also need to be physically fit.
