Job Description

Wise Employment are recruiting for Industrial Manufacturing Operatives based in Plymouth on a temporary to permanent basis.

Hours and Salary:Monday – Thursday 7am – 5.30pm – working 40hrs per week with a 3-day weekend!  £11.44 per hour plus lots of opportunity for overtime at excellent rates.

Over time: Flexibility is required. If working Monday – Thursday (after having worked the standard 40 hours) or Friday the hourly pay rate is £14.30 per hour, Saturday is £17.16 per hour and Sunday’s/Bank Holidays is £22.88 per hour.

As an Industrial Manufacturing Operative, you will need to have experience and understanding of manufacturing processes.   • Able to understand technical drawings, and apply technical information.

  • Able to identify and install improvements that are effective in achieving excellent quality, cost reduction and productivity improvements.
  • Efficient at communicating through all levels of an organisation.
  • Able to apportion time effectively to complete tasks.
  • Confident and professional when representing the company in person and in writing.
  • Aspiring and keen to advance within the organisation.

Day to Day Duties:

  • Work productively and safely in compliance with the company’s systems of work.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping.
  • Minimise waste by using materials and consumable items efficiently.
  • Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking out.
  • Maintain good levels of workmanship and traceability.
  • Measurement and inspection techniques using a variety of equipment.
  • Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when required.

Training:

  • Participate in training where required.

This role is being recruited on a temporary to permanent basis. In return, Wise Employment can offer; weekly pay and emailed payslips, up to 28 days paid annual leave (inclusive of statutory holiday), pension contribution, a friendly and welcoming working environment.  This role may also be subject to a Drug and Alcohol test.
