We are proud to be working with this household name retail Company in finding a

Retail Compliance Officer!

You will be working remotely with your home as your base.  However, you will be regularly travelling to your designated stores where you will assist in driving improvement across the businesses.  Core hours are 8.45am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will complete audits in the nominated area stores ensuring that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.  Also, you will be supporting the store with the verification of the stores stock management processes and validating process and compliance in Health & Safety, Legal and Immigration areas as well as minimalising the risk to the business in terms of stock losses and cash variances.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting systematic audits for Stock Management, Loss Prevention, Cash Office, Admin, Tills and Health and Safety providing detailed feedback to relevant parties.
  • Ensuring that the company Stock Management and Retail Operations strategies are correctly followed.
  • The delivery of detailed reports of the finding and providing recommendations of the findings.
  • Agreeing action plans for stores to follow between visits.
  • Conducting follow up operational training to support stores.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness in accordance with current in-store methods.  Recommend amendments to training programs accordingly to meet specified training standards. 
  • Maintaining training records to comply with departmental procedures and business information requirements. 
  • To standardise practices throughout the group, ensuring that stores are operating correctly and not completing tasks unnecessarily or inefficiently and drive consistency across the estate.
  • Assisting with testing and implementation of new processes, policies or procedures as required.

In order to carry out this role you will be expected to:

  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Communicate in such a way that key messages are taken on board and cannot be missed
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Understand when to consult, involve or direct others. 
  • Have retail operations experience and be familiar with In-House retail ERP systems
  • Have excellent written skills to deliver actionable guidance and feedback.
  • Be able to think clearly and quickly about issues and identify critical information.
  • Project confidence, whatever the situation.
  • Pay attention to detail and have good administration skills.
  • Work well under pressure to meet deadlines and to be able to deal with several tasks simultaneously by planning and organizing priorities.
  • Have knowledge of all Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Have your own transportation and a full UK driving license.
  • This role will have the potential for travel across the UK and will involve overnight stays.
