Wise Employment have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Developer for one of the UK's fastest growing companies based in the Plymouth area. This can be a remote role but travel to head office in Plymouth, Devon will be required on occasions. This is a permanent role offering a fantastic salary and excellent benefits package. This will be working Monday to Friday 08.45am – 530pm.

Within the development team, you will drive continuous improvement and help develop new solutions and support existing platforms. As Software Developer, you will play an integral role in the creation and evolution of a suite of bespoke applications and will lead from the front where you will inspire progress and driving improvements forward within a highly efficient and skilled development team.

You will need to have excellent knowledge of web technologies to apply them to build a world class Omni channel retail platform.

Software Developer – Technical and professional expertise required

You’ll have proven experience in software development, as well as in designing and creating enterprise web applications. You will need to have:

• PHP, HTML, Javascript and MySQL as an essential requirement
• Strong problem solving skills
• Able to work within a tight knit development team
• Willingness to learn and grow your own skills and expertise
• Strong attention to detail and able to deliver code to a high standard
• An understanding of eCommerce and online retail platforms and of how the market is developing
• You will have experience of building enterprise grade web-based applications and building native apps for Android and iOS
• You will also be familiar with using Agile development methodologies
