Account Manager- Water Treatment/Chemical Sales - NE England

We are proud to be supporting our global client in finding a new member of the Account team.

This position is based in the North East of England.

The company specialises in the management of clients’ water, wastewater and processing challenges.

The successful candidate will work in the North of /England with a very well established sales and operations team.  You will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships, demonstrating your systems knowledge and display your wealth of contract management across your existing accounts and be fully engaged in the pursuit of new sales within the North East region.

Responsibilities:

You will be selling and demonstrating and promoting a range of speciality water, process chemicals and monitoring technologies to a wide range of industries

Your role will entail working with the customers and prospect clients to support their needs that will vary in size and difficulty.

Developing and executing customer account sales plans, coordinating all proposal activity from generating quotes to processing the PO’s.

Managing customer satisfaction and escalate customer concerns or resolution

Coordinating support resources to maintain and grow existing and win/close new accounts

Carry out plant visits, auditing and surveying and arrange and manage any trial working.

Sometimes you may be engaged in actually conducting appropriate water analysis/testing and reporting.

Continuousy working on the strategies and implementation of sales and marketing programs to achieve Company sales targets within the North East.

You will meet and exceed the assigned quotas through your activities and results.

It will be part of your role to drive the Company behaviours around Health & Safety, Team Work and the Company strategies and initiatives.

It is a true lead by example role!

To carry out this role you will need:

A background in Account Management or sales in a water/process treatment Company or Chemical plant

Outstanding communication skills with customers, contractors and internal staff to inspire and support the company’s objectives

You will be able to demonstrate excellent project management experience and a track record of achieving and exceeding targets

A natural born relationship builder

Able to report on the status of all customers and identify growth areas and new service requirements

Qualifications and essential skills/attributes:

You will be technically qualified in chemical, environment, mechanical or similar engineering environment – or time served in industry

Strong customer focus and the want to excel at services and challenges given by a customer

A clean UK driving licence is a must
