Job Description

Electronic Production Operative, £12.50ph, 6 months, Weekly pay, Mon to Fri.

Wise Employment are recruiting for an Electronic Production Operative for one of our established clients based in Plymouth.

As an Electronic Production Operative, you will be a team member of a Flexible Production Cell, providing high quality products and systems. You will carry our all mechanical assembly and electrical cable wiring/looming work associated with the manufacture of Wayside or Onboard equipment cabinets, including their testing (point to point, electrical safety and where required functional).

Responsibilities

• Rack and cubicle assembly and wiring
• Loom Preparation; Wiring, crimping, wire stripping
• Loom installation; routing, securing and terminating
• Use of encapsulation machine
• Painting
• Electronic/Light Mechanical visual inspection
• Electronic/electrical test
• Competent in the use of a semi-automatic test equipment

Requirements

• Hands on experience of assembly, wiring and testing of similar safety critical products in a Lean manufacturing environment
• Read and interpret production documents (parts lists, wiring drawings, wiring schedules, GA drawings and test spec)
• Experience of using electronic test equipment
• Knowledge of using PC Windows Software
• Great manual dexterity

This is initially a 6-month position working 37.00 hours a week, with weekly pay.

Monday to Thursday 08.00 – 16.30 and Friday 08.00 to 13.45
